Selfish now faded.

Alone surviving,
a lone survivor,
on your mission,
it is your bigger vision,
better and more important ,
than any one else,
your only belief system was:
To survive,and have a good time
So you left them all behind,
Years spent,collecting obtaining,
wanting,gaining,
more and more,for yourself,
for your one track mind.
Once rebellious with a cause,
Stubborn naive enough to presume you could
change the world in its course,
with angry protest songs art & poetry,
dreamers and free thinkers,
but it made no difference in the end,
Just a false pretence,
the real world hoodwinked us all,
and so we happily became blind,
and past deeds done shall become like scattered dust.
Now the words you shout are still the same,
angry but aged, disengaged,
But it did not evolve ,instead it became stale,
like slowly rotting corpses,
drenched in filthy odours of human waste
sweat ,cigarettes and ale
rapidly ageing and covered in stains
alive but stale
tainted faded legends worn out of shape
trying once more to prove they can be great
once more wanting to be heard and appreciated
Re repeating itself with a glory faded
full of wear and tear
you seem harsh hearted
washed down the river with your ideals jaded .
comical and tainted almost hated,
I have grown to hate it,
does it make me weak to admit a piece of me now hates it?
